Using the Orii surface coloring process from Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture, Japan.
Established in 1950 as the "Orii Coloring Company,"
they have inherited traditional local techniques and have handled various castings,
from Buddhist statues, temple bells, tea utensils to works of art and crafts.
Orii's "coloring" process is not just simply coloring or painting,
but a traditional technique that involves controlling the corrosive properties of copper
and brass using various conditions such as chemicals or heat,
which brings out the bright and elegant colors of the metal.
